Nachdem das Olympische Feuer<\/strong> am Sonntagabend die Versorgungsstelle Irgertsheim passierte, haben sich die Ingolst\u00e4dter G-Judokas vom MTV Ingolstadt 1881 e.V.<\/strong> heute nach M\u00fcnchen aufgemacht. Dort finden vom 21. Mai bis 25. Mai 2012<\/strong> die Special Olympic National Games<\/strong> statt.<\/p>\n

Special Olympics ist die weltweite gr\u00f6\u00dfte<\/strong>, vom IOC offiziell anerkannte, Sportbewegung f\u00fcr Menschen mit geistiger und mehrfacher Behinderung<\/strong>. Gegr\u00fcndet wurde sie 1968 in den USA
\ndurch Eunice Kennedy-Shriver, der Schwester von John F. Kennedy. Heute ist Special Olympics
\nmit mehr als 3,1 Millionen Athleten in 175 L\u00e4ndern<\/strong> vertreten.<\/p>\n

Zu Special Olympics Deutschland e.V.<\/a> (SOD), gegr\u00fcndet 1991, geh\u00f6ren heute ca. 40.000 Menschen, die in 13 Landesverb\u00e4nden organisiert sind und in 685 Mitgliedsorganisationen regelm\u00e4\u00dfig trainieren. Das vorrangige Ziel von SOD besteht darin, Kindern und Erwachsenen mit geistiger Behinderung durch ganzj\u00e4hriges, regelm\u00e4\u00dfiges Sporttraining und durch Wettbewerbe in einer Vielzahl von Sportarten die M\u00f6glichkeit zu bieten, am gesellschaftlichen Leben teilzunehmen. Damit leistet SOD einen Beitrag zur Inklusion von Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Dieses Ziel verfolgt auch die Abteilung G-Judo des Ingolst\u00e4dter MTV. Seit mehreren Jahren wird der Verein dabei von der EPOS CAT GmbH unterst\u00fctzt.<\/p>\n
